COWS

Just recently some cows appeared in the field that faces our living room window i actually love them ive names a few hahahah sometimes they get very close to the fence and landon and me like to peek through the window and moo with them.. i know crazy mother me hahahaha but landon loves it and makes him smile so im a happy mommy :) i mean u jave to addmit its cool how many ppl living in the city can see cows from their living room windows????? exactly....... not many lol we've also heard howling coyotes at night apparently when they are hunting and catch something they haul very loud but to me they sound more like piggy's :) the sound they make its strange for coyotes neways though i'd share a pic of our cows :)

TRIP TO THE ZOO

Two weeks ago we took Landon to the vancouver Zoo, this Zoo is amazing its very big and has lots of animals to see. Landon had a great time here, he loved seeing all the animals and going on the rides, we took this bus tour that takes you into see the grizzly bears black bears and the wolfes it was amazing, even though we didnt spot any wolfe's we did see lots of black bears. the weather was perfect so we really enjoyed walking around the park.

On a different note, we are moving back to london..................... Yes you read correctly.

we got a opportunity to head back and be closer to fam and friends, i got to tell you though it wasent the most easiest idea, we do love it here we really do everithing is amaziing but after giving it much though and prayer we decided that moving back seems like the best choice for us, we miss fam and our friends back home so we are very exited to come back and see them be able to spend more time with them, landon is exited to see his cousin karson, im really looking forward to have them spend some good quality cousin time together.H e also very much misses his grandpa which im sure will be very glad to have close by. im also exited to come back and join the mommy group we had going when i left and glad to see you all beutifull ladies and your litle ones. it was perfect timing as we were thinking of putting our house for sale and we ended up calling our real state agent and letting her know we were no longer going to list it :) so we get to come back to home sweet home :), im also exited because will have a yard thing that we dont have one here, though we do have lovely parks and the dog park is just a block away :)

like i said we are def going to miss it here, the scenery the people, the few friends we have made the ward and having the temple only mins away oppose as to hrs, but im sure will visit here soon one day. not really looking forward to the loong drive but at least will be on our way. ive been trying to learn standard as thats the car we have but im very nervous i really do hope i learn before we leave so that russ dosent have to do all the driving on his own, so will see. we will be there sooner than you think!!! :)

TEMPLE ACTIVITY

A few weeks back we had a temple activity in our ward for all the primary children, As you may or may not know our ward is on temple grounds which is amaziing for several reasons, one its beutiful to dive up to the chapel and see the temple, its also nice to see it on our way out of church and to live so close by it instead of two hours or soo like we did in ontario.

we took to landon to this activity Russ helped directing traffic and he did a great job at that, though i wished he could have come along with us for the things we did, Every kid put a piece of the temple replica they did, that was very neat. They also planted a tree for every stake, they heard stories about how wonderfull and important the temple is, and they got to take their own dogwood tree to plant at home, ( the dogwood tree is the BC floral emblem) we both enjoyed going to every station i loved this ward and all the wonderful activites they have all the time :)

So i must say landon has really expanded his vacabulary very much, of course me spending the most time with him can understand everything or well almost everithing. Russell on the other hand is always asking me what is he saying? what does he mean? jajaj so i though i'd share some of his cute words.

Easter weekend

Ive been trying to get this down on here before i forget, or before i just decide its been too long and why even bother to put it down. It was a great turn out. earlier that week we got an email from candise inviting us to her house for a bonfire,and roasted marshmellows, it was an awesome evening there were other couples there as well and landon was running up and down playiing, it also helped that the day was amazing and suuny and warm.Candise's aunt had this great surprise for the kids she came out dressed up as the easter bunny to hand out candies. Landon wasent scared at all only a bitt shy but hey he is my son.we ate we talked and socilaize i truly had an amazing time. thanks candise :) The easter bunny delivering candies

he couldnt take his eyes off the bunny even now he will still talk about it . for some reason he thinks the easter bunny went into the water which makes sence because the easter went to the back to change abv and couple mins later the kids went behind and the easter bunny was gone :( and there was a waterfall in the backyard so landon thinks the bunny jumped in the water lol

Saturday, was really just a relaxing day, and trying to get things for dinner the next day. so we went to the grocery to do some shopping. and went for a walk with roxy and landon :)

Sunday was the big day momment of truth, but let me tell you first we hid the eggs for landon i bough some plastic dollar eggs at the dollar store and the night before filled them with the choc :) russ and i hid them while he was asleep and he first saw one when he was eating his BF haha the smile on his face was priceless, he though he had just won the potluck haha then he found another one and by then he kinda got the imput that there might be more somewere around so the hunting started. we gave him his bucket and followed him as he went in search for more chocolate :) he found some in his room inside a shoe in the kitchen i mean just everywere but there was one that he just couldnt see, and it was literally in his face every time he passed by it haha. We got him this Toy Story basket that had couple of toys and some candy neat to say landon loves toy story he can watch that movie over and over :) so russ and i though he would drop his jaw once he saw it right?? but noo he was far more interested in finding more choc that by this point there wasent any at all he had found them all once the basket was open and he realized the goodies it brought he was a happy camper :)landon was entertained playing his soldiers and eating candy of course :) so i decided to start preparing the turkey :) i buttered it stuffed it :) and put it the oven crossed my fingers and hoped the turn out would be great :) we decided to paint some easter Toy Story eggs with landon, that he loved. you should have seen his hands they were green like the Hulk!!! the turkey was ready and vuala it turn out PERFECT our very own first turkey. of course i cant take all the credit because my wonderful husband helped me out. It was delicious i tried to picked the smallest turkey i could find, my sister suggested to buy turkey breast but russ isnt a big white meat eater so we had turkey for the whole week hahahh.. Thankgoodness it was delicious :)

THOSE LITTLE SHOES

Today, as i walked to my litle boys room to tuck him in for the night i came across his tyni litle tenni shoes. I couldnt help but think how blessed i am to have such a wonderfull litle boy. Sometimes it seems so unreal as to all the wonderfull things i have in my life, sometimes its hard to believe i have a kid all of my very own. Those litle shoes made me stop for a second and awe to my self. Thanks heavenly father for sending me this precious litle angel who makes my days soo much more beutifull who makes me breath and live and hope and try to be my very best so he can have the best mother in the world..

MOUNTAIN OF DISHES

I LOVE to cook i really do, the one and only litle problem is the after part. I get so exited when it comes down to the afternoon n i have to start prepping for dinner, i must say i haven't always loved cooking nor was i ever good at. Mostly because i was spoiled by my mom and she never really made me cook, she always cooked for me,that being said when i got married my mommy wasen't around to do it anymore, plus having my mom cook for me and the HUBBY?? would be too much and i def would not do that to her, as a matter of fact i would love to have her close so that i can now cook for her :). soon i hope!! so cooking time comes i get one spoon out to stir the chicken, i get a dish to put the spoon on, then i grab a knife to cut something then another knife to slice some cheese, perhaps a fork to open the chicken see how throughly cooked the chicken is, and so on when im finished cooking and we are all finished with dinner i realized the mountain of dishes topped on my sink, on my counters heck even on my stove!!

I Dont know what it is, but i use so many utensils, and dishes and pots and pans, when it comes to cooking. i have to really try some kind of method and try this a diff way. cooking and baking are something i love and i would hate for this to be something that makes me not cook :( i might not be the best cooker or the bst baker but i really enjoy it!! but washing dishes well thats a tatl different subject!!

A 12 am Alarm

The one downhill from living in a BUILDING and not in a house, is that you can't control when the alarms go on, Last night at around 12 am the emergency alarm went off, its happen once before which alarmed us and later found out it was obv a false alarm, they are very laud and annoying, i felt so bad for landon as he was already sleeping and woke up to this awful loud sound! roxy was also getting very hyped about the noise so russ and i decided to go outside were the noise wasent so loud. We walked to the front outside of the building and to my surprise we werent the only ones out, there was already quite bitt of ppl outside. i guess it is the best thing to do just bc you never know right?? neways the alarm will not turn off unless the fire dept comes to turn them off themselfs. so the firefighters came and inspected the building almost 35 mins later it went off and we were able to come back upstairs. we were sure glad it was over, UNTIL this morning at 7:15 am when it went off again GRRR hopefully thats the last of it :)

THE BALL OF TERROR

Is what we call our doggy sometimes when she is naughty hahhaa .. We have a 3 year old bernese female name Roxy. We've had her since she was a puppy. She was my xmas present in 07. I had always been afraid of dogs, i never grew up around any, and anytime i would see some one walking with a dog i literally would cross sidewalks or hide behind some one. i know pathetic, but hey what can i say i was sheltered lol or so russ says, lol neways so having a dog was a big thing for me. I always wanted a dog though despite how terrified i was of them, and my mom would always say "virginia why do u want a dog if ur scared of them? " and i'd say well my dog is going to be friendly and he wont bite me because he will be my dog. in my mind i always though all dogs bite but not mine. :) I ended up getting a dog my first year in college i was so exited she was a cute little fluffy she was a maltese small and fluffy and white. And i named her Tinkerbell :) but soon after i got her my mom though it be better for me to take her back , since i had just started with college and wotk and my life was becoming very busy and i wouldnt have time to give to her or potty train her. So a week later i took her back.But when we got roxy i was thrilled and exited. We bough her from a breeder in montreal who had just had some babies. Berneses arent very common you dont see alot of them. But they are very cute.I have to point out that i never wanted a big dog, and as many of you who have met my ball of terror she is a monster, actually a bitt small for a dog her breed but still big enough, but one time we went to ottawa to visit jen carolyns mom and this HUGE dog came out of no were i seriously though it was a bear, russell here forgot to tell me they had a dog and that this dog was gigantourmos. (they have a golden retriever mixed with a great pyrenees.) After i spent some time and i realized this dog wasent going to eat me alive i soon fell in love with him and the size of it. it was like a huge cuddly bear, since then i said i wanted a big dog. I am so happy to have roxy with us, she is a true spark and brings soo much happiness to our lives. i must admit she is daddy's litle girl. She loves russell soo much that im positive she would die for him or kill either way she adores him, and he loves her right back. she is still in that puppy stage i guess they get out of this stage slowly. She loves to go for walks, she loves treats, food, her most favorite is human food of course, AND she loves your unconditional attention.so much that when we are watching tv, she will come lay besides us and cry until we pet her. when we have visits over she seems to think they come visit her and only her. The dog park is her favorite even though she is much more interested in the ppl there and not so much in playing with other dogs. she hates the rain, even getting her paws wet :) which is fair and prob gets that from me, i hate to get wet and hate getting my hair messed with the rain. i mean who blames a girl for that right??? she is def a princess. But like the title of the post says she is a ball of terror. yesturday we came to our house and found all our trash from our trashcan in the kitchen on the hardwood floors, little miss princess here decided to go trash digging, who ever saw her doing this would think we starve her to death. she keeps close near landon when we eat as she has learn he likes to drop food on the floor the most and sometimes even decides to share it with his sister:) she loves to bark when people come over, and she loves to run out the house when she has the chance, ( she has ran out on us a cople times back in london ) Never the less we love her and i feel so much protected and less lonely when russ leaves on loong trips, cus i know my litle girl is guarding us all :) we love you roxy vaughan...
