A 12 am Alarm

The one downhill from living in a BUILDING and not in a house, is that you can't control when the alarms go on, Last night at around 12 am the emergency alarm went off, its happen once before which alarmed us and later found out it was obv a false alarm, they are very laud and annoying, i felt so bad for landon as he was already sleeping and woke up to this awful loud sound! roxy was also getting very hyped about the noise so russ and i decided to go outside were the noise wasent so loud. We walked to the front outside of the building and to my surprise we werent the only ones out, there was already quite bitt of ppl outside. i guess it is the best thing to do just bc you never know right?? neways the alarm will not turn off unless the fire dept comes to turn them off themselfs. so the firefighters came and inspected the building almost 35 mins later it went off and we were able to come back upstairs. we were sure glad it was over, UNTIL this morning at 7:15 am when it went off again GRRR hopefully thats the last of it :)

THE BALL OF TERROR

Is what we call our doggy sometimes when she is naughty hahhaa .. We have a 3 year old bernese female name Roxy. We've had her since she was a puppy. She was my xmas present in 07. I had always been afraid of dogs, i never grew up around any, and anytime i would see some one walking with a dog i literally would cross sidewalks or hide behind some one. i know pathetic, but hey what can i say i was sheltered lol or so russ says, lol neways so having a dog was a big thing for me. I always wanted a dog though despite how terrified i was of them, and my mom would always say "virginia why do u want a dog if ur scared of them? " and i'd say well my dog is going to be friendly and he wont bite me because he will be my dog. in my mind i always though all dogs bite but not mine. :) I ended up getting a dog my first year in college i was so exited she was a cute little fluffy she was a maltese small and fluffy and white. And i named her Tinkerbell :) but soon after i got her my mom though it be better for me to take her back , since i had just started with college and wotk and my life was becoming very busy and i wouldnt have time to give to her or potty train her. So a week later i took her back. But when we got roxy i was thrilled and exited. We bough her from a breeder in montreal who had just had some babies. Berneses arent very common you dont see alot of them. But they are very cute.I have to point out that i never wanted a big dog, and as many of you who have met my ball of terror she is a monster, actually a bitt small for a dog her breed but still big enough, but one time we went to ottawa to visit jen carolyns mom and this HUGE dog came out of no were i seriously though it was a bear, russell here forgot to tell me they had a dog and that this dog was gigantourmos. (they have a golden retriever mixed with a great pyrenees.) After i spent some time and i realized this dog wasent going to eat me alive i soon fell in love with him and the size of it. it was like a huge cuddly bear, since then i said i wanted a big dog. I am so happy to have roxy with us, she is a true spark and brings soo much happiness to our lives. i must admit she is daddy's litle girl. She loves russell soo much that im positive she would die for him or kill either way she adores him, and he loves her right back. she is still in that puppy stage i guess they get out of this stage slowly. She loves to go for walks, she loves treats, food, her most favorite is human food of course, AND she loves your unconditional attention.so much that when we are watching tv, she will come lay besides us and cry until we pet her. when we have visits over she seems to think they come visit her and only her. The dog park is her favorite even though she is much more interested in the ppl there and not so much in playing with other dogs. she hates the rain, even getting her paws wet :) which is fair and prob gets that from me, i hate to get wet and hate getting my hair messed with the rain. i mean who blames a girl for that right??? she is def a princess. But like the title of the post says she is a ball of terror. yesturday we came to our house and found all our trash from our trashcan in the kitchen on the hardwood floors, little miss princess here decided to go trash digging, who ever saw her doing this would think we starve her to death. she keeps close near landon when we eat as she has learn he likes to drop food on the floor the most and sometimes even decides to share it with his sister:) she loves to bark when people come over, and she loves to run out the house when she has the chance, ( she has ran out on us a cople times back in london ) Never the less we love her and i feel so much protected and less lonely when russ leaves on loong trips, cus i know my litle girl is guarding us all :) we love you roxy vaughan...

this is what happens when she goes into the trash lol
one of my fav pics of them two she is so gentle with landon, too bad i cant say the same about landon towards her lol
sniffing what we brought home :)

ADVENTURE IN VANCOUVER

Last night i was talking to my friend Natalia, we were suppose to hang out yesturday (wendsday) but didnt really plan it and didnt call each other so we though why not hang out tomorrow (today thursday) she suggested we meet at the sky train station down in surrey. Im not good at all at taking buses i don't know were im suppose to go, or were to get off , nothing. i guess all the times i took the bus at home with my mom didn't really do it for me. so i asked quit of bitt of times the exact location and so we came up with if we didnt see each other at the bus then we would meet at the front entrance of the mall right across, and then we would decide were to go. I took the bus that stops in front of my house took it to the central sky station, natalia and i never bumped on the bus so then i walked across the mall to the front entrance like we had discussed, i waited...... and waited..... and waited..... and nothing i was staring to worry i though maybe i got off in the wrong bus stop? I just couldn't figure out what had gone wrong. at 11:25 i decided it was time to walk back across to the sky train station to see if i would see her, but i didnt :( i called russell from a pay phone and asked if natalia had called, he said "yes along time ago she called to say she was on her way to the bus stop" i then asked what time was this? " well a while ago like maybe 10 after 10am" umm weird cus i dont see her anywhere i will call her then i said and i did but was not able to get a hold of her, AND the pay phone eat my last change grr then i went to this convenience store and the asian lady would not change me my toonnie for change unless i bought something and the cheapest piece of choc they had there was like $1.27 and thats not cheap not in my books at least. so i was like no way and i left back to the mall to see if i had better luck there in finding somewhere to get change and a pay phone to call from. But of course with my luck i couldn't find a phone let alone somewhere to get some change :( i was getting frustrated let me tell you. Plus it was some what chili out, well not really but i felt chili :) so i decided that asian lady would win and i would have to end up buying that chocolate for $1.27 to get some change. and so i called russell again and this time i had him call her from the house phone while i was on the cell with him. I was NOT taking any chances. Apparently she had been on the other side of the mall all this time :) hahahah so i say tell her to meet me at winners.Plans have been made for us to meet at winners and so here i go back to the mall .. By the way i havent mention that on one of the crosswalks there were this constructions workers that had seen me pass all this time they were prob thinking i was crazy or something passing by a gazillion of times hahaah . I get to the mall and i finally finally see the light.. well Natalia was i ever glad to see her :) it was funny after we finally found each other. apparently there is another train station after the one i had gotten down at, and so thats the one i had to get off . In less words i got off a short stop before, but i dint know she forgot to tell me that. So we started our day. we fed samuel, well his mommy did :) and headed for the sky train station off to Metro town. we arrived we had some yummy McDonalds for lunch chatted for a bitt, and off to walk we went. I was finally able to go in the new Disney store its Amazing any kid could go crazy in there. Bitt pricy but its so magical. On our way back we encountered with another small problem, the surrey central sky station was closed, which was the station we were supposed to get off of, i guess some trains had run out of power and were blocking the way. We had to get off like 4 stops before it was so crazy and packed, finally we arrived and luckily i have an AMAZING husband who came to pick me up there, instead of letting me take two buses to get home. I had a good time, i know how to take that bus, and the sky train and get to the mall, not just any mall this mall is pretty big :) well worth all this trouble, even though i DID NOT purchase anything other than my lunch and a $9 BUZZ light year zippy cup for the little man, I'm sure glad to be home and laying down in my bed, my legs are soo tired and sore from all the walking, def looking forward to this summer to many more adventures. Thank you natalia for the company i truly enjoyed this day with you and baby samuel. which by the way we need to give some credit. He did not cry at all except for a wii bitt on the way back. he has to be the calmest baby i have met till now, natalia you are a very blessed mother.

going on this bridge was abitt scary but lots of fun

how could you be board here??? this is only two floors of the four floor mall

NEW CALLING

Couple months ago i was called to be part of the activity board for my church. The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Yesturday (Saturday) i was able to be part of this board by helping other sisters put together some things for the activity. Our activity was called How they tied the knott. This activity was soo mucg fun i really enjoyed it. there was three couples who shared there wonderful story and courtship. for every couple we served a plate. this activity went down like this,
we served pita and dip
sister and brother kearl shared there story which was lovely, after we served quiche and potatoe and then sister mary shared hers by herself because no body was able to locate her husband, he was supposed to be working in the temple which is right across the parking lot and was going to come for a wee bitt to give his talk, but we just couldnt find him lol but her story was very sweet, following hers we served fruit kabobs and listen to our last couple, brother and sister smith. This activity was def alot of fun, and i was so grateful to be able to be a part of it. I love to be come to this activitys they are always so fun and exiting to come to. we usually have one activity a month so im very exited for our next one which will be an accesory swap :) the whole ward has been so nice and welcoming to us, our relief society president is so sweet and i love her soo much. I ma so gratefull for the relief society program in the church it brings soo many women together, and no matter were you come or what you do or what you have your all the same :) because we are all daughters of our heavenly father.

MAKING IT OUR OWN

We've been out west now for about six months. It has not been the hardest but it hasent been the easiest either, i truly love it here every day it just reminds me of california, sometimes i dont know if thats good or bad lol (i tend to get homesick once in a while ) . I guess the hardest part for me at least has been to be out here on our own, trying to fit in and finding our own group of friends to whom we can share and make memmories with. Doing things our own way and just the three of us. And dont get me wrong i love the though of starting our own traditions but its been a bitt hard to be honest. I have no clue how to make a holiday day a good day :( thankfully i didn't have to do that for xmas since we were blessed enough to go back to london and spend it there with friends and family( and of course to jen who made the wonderful xmas dinner ) Valentines well as much as i would have loved to have someone i trusted with landon to look after him, i did enjoy going out for dinner with my two handsome boys :). But now easter is aproaching and as much as i have though about it and though about it, i have no clue on what i could do or what to do.Ive never cooked a turkey in my life, but russell has always had turkey for easter so im sure he is hoping for one, but if its just us three how can we finish a WHOLE turkey by ourselfs?? We dont even finish one at dads and we are quit alot when we all get together. My family always gather together at the park for carne asada egg scavenger hunt, and just being together nieces and nephews cousins brothers sisters i mean the whole sha bang bang!! Some how we have to put some of our traditons together and make it it our own.AND teach landon the real meaning of it, that it realy isnt all about the bunny and choc although it is nice to enjoy every piece of them :) So hopefully between now and then i can get inspired, and will be able to pull it off. Its so hard to be away from friends and family and starting out on your own, i mean alot of people do it, idk how but they do, so cheers to all you who have done it, and cheers to one day ill be a super mom/spouse with great ideas that has it all together. I will blogg of how this easter day went down, of course once it has gone down and let you know how it all turned out. ladies if you have any ideas please do share :)

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!

His Heart

A blessing is a baby boy,
Who always fills your heart with joy.
From the moment of your dear son's birth
You loved him more than life on Earth.

You never knew that meeting him
Would fill your heart up to the brim.
You think of him when you first wake
His cries can make your soul just ache.

So precious is your darling son
And just so sweet and so much fun
You think he's perfect, and he is!
And now your heart belongs to his
